what brand of duck load do I get?
Black Cloud and Kent seem to be real popular

To answer your question. Go get Remington from Walmart, 2 3/4 #6 or #4s. Half the cost of the aforementioned shells, kills them just as dead.

Cheap is good... Go to have fun don't make yourself crazy with shells chokes camo pattern gun facepaint, stay legal and have a good time, if your new to it prolly go with someone who can show u a few things.

I shoot Kent. 3" 2's and 4's. They kill em just as well as the expensive stuff. You either hit em or you don't. I used to keep the expensive stuff (heavi shot) for cripples as there is nothing harder to kill than a duck on the water. I have no scientific evidence to back this up (per usual) but the theory was that the denser shot would penetrate through the water and resist the tendency to skip (majority of a ducks vitals rest below the waterline).

Buy several different brands to experiment with. Your gun will tell you which it prefers to kill ducks with. I still need to try kents. It is hard to find them in the local shops. Now that Cabelas open a small store about 35 min. away I'l have more choice.
