Welcome to the forum!!! I live in Tyler County!!! Where in Tyler County do you hunt!!! From what I've seen it starts in late October and peaks in middle of November!!!

Pleasure my friend. I am on a lease right off of 190,5 miles outside of Woodville, going towards Jasper. It's on the left hand side of the road and there is a pipeline that runs through it. We enter the lease on Copperhead Rd I think.
I have been hunting there with friends now for 6 or 7 years. It always looks like we miss the rut because we always think it's during bow season. The 1st weekend aFTER GUN WE REALLY DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH sucess. I am gonna hunt a lil harder this year and be out in the woods a lil more and see what happends.
Thank you for answering my post. I will be bow hunting up there all next week.

In a county next to Tyler we are seeing more sparing and turf battles starting last week. On average, the rut is like a bell curve ... builds, peaks, then declines.
IMO - It has begun to swing up the curve in your area of the woods. Hunt like it is the rut from now and over the next several weeks.

It's hot and heavy on the river outside of Spurger. Buddy has been hunting since Fri and is at 23 on buck count.

Thank you for answering my post. I will be bow hunting up there all next week. I live in Warren about 12mi South of Woodville and I'm on a new lease in Hardin County near Saratoga!!! I hunted on a lease near Spurger for about 5 years and have rattled in a few bucks in late October!!!

Seadog, my friend has a cabin in Ivanhoe, that's where we stay. He has Family down your way in Warren. He is from New Orleans like me but I live in Houston now.

My wife taught there last year. She's from nac, went to hs with Jacob 645. We live in deer trace because it is convenient to lufkin, but I'm from Corrigan and we both teach there now.

OP deer are still running does in tyler county, outside of Spurger, under the floodlights around my buddy's camp.
