Made this one for a customer. 8.5" overall with stabilized spalted hackberry scales. Blade is Elmax stainless. This is my first one using this steel but it won't be my last. This steel really took an edge. One of those scary sharp blades. No makers mark per his request but instead has a 4 leaf clover etched on each side of the blade. It's part of his business logo.

Very nice. I don't understand him not wanting a maker's mark on it though. That is kind of odd
I fought Him, ran from Him, thought I could do it all without Him, but when I finally turned to Him, He opened his arms and took me in.

Yeah I've seen a few made from rasps. I've repurposed some into different tools but hate working a rasp they are hard even when really hot. Just curious what does a knife like this one cost and how much time do you have in it?

I could see getting a very similar knife in the future. No shamrock, small makers mark, desert ironwood scales, and the blade length at 4".
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

Bought a bunch of scales from Lacey today. There will be an up-charge on the premium stuff from now on.
