My neighbor's youngest boy didn't really talk until he was 3. Some start way early, some start way later.

Probably fine, I've raised 3.....cant wait till they talk, can't wait till they shut up. The main thing I learned from raising 3 kids is that they are all different. Always give your kids all the advantages that you can afford them, but realize that folks like speech therapist do not get paid to tell you their services are not necessary.

Yep I wouldn't get too impatient, it'll be no time and the boy will be talking back...

That's just it, the pediatrician is the one who suggested the speech therapist. All along I've been fighting the idea but I guess what's it going to hurt other than my wallet? He has always done goofy little stuff that has always worried me into thinking he could have some minor form of autism but I really don't think that's the case. None of it is overwhelming. He's just doing weird stuff sometimes. He is our only one right now and his grandmother watches him all day long. I truly feel that he is just being lazy because he can be. I've seen her, her mom and I jump at the first sign of getting frustrated and we do everything for him. I backed way off of that about 3 months ago but I can't convince the other two of it. Thank you everyone for all the input. And a huge thank you for any prayers on Connor's behalf. I really don't think anywhere near autism but I'm going to put in that level of effort to combat this. Thanks again y'all.
