Not fair questions really. I killed 30 in the last year and cleaned 28 so I can't say I clean every one. And I don't have a problem with you letting them lay but I do have a problem with me letting them lay. Does that make sense? Perfect sense

You never seen a pig in Crosby?? Not on us. The property around us is too divided. Every now and then you will see a couple running one of the little bayous near me but they dont hang around. Its both a blessing and a curse. my brother lives there in a subdivision that has access to some crazy beach on the river... i can see how it would be to divided

If they are good clean killed smaller hogs we eat them. If the freezer is full/its a big nasty one etc. I have zero issues feeding the buzzards yotes ants etc.
They used to be nice when you would only see them once a month or so, but when you see one and shoot one every hunt 5 or more hunts in a row from the same stand beginning opening morning its to big a mess!
It's hell eatin em live

I was just using it as an example. 4 man rifle team, two nights of hunting, weigh in on 3rd day. They are spoiled by then, so no point in cleaning them. Its just a means of population control in surrounding counties.

We have some good nights too. Whatever I/we don't keep fresh for the table goes to dog food. We feed our dogs a lot of pork! If all of our freezers are full, the dog food coolers are full, and we can't find anyone else to donate to then they get dumped. I always make an effort to not waste any meat, but sometimes there are just too many pigs.

So far he has planted sweet potatoes, cantelope, water mellon, and milo on it. He used to have a bunch of wetbacks scattered through the fields all night that shot them. A couple yeaers ago he put up a heavy duty net wire fence and the hog problems have disappeared.

I understand what you are saying and used to feel the same way about hogs till the mid 80's I killed and trapped 56 that year and cleaned everyone. 2 of my cousins helped me gut, skin and quarter 8 one Saturday morning in 3 hours. A few years after that I changed my attitude about them.
