Wow that's a great buck. Tell your Dad congrats. Looks like he was really working over some trees. You can see all the bark on his antlers. Where in east Texas?

Yeah boy.

It looks like any other ol' 12 point until you consider the spread, G2's, 3's, beams and circumference... gulp. That's a big'un. Any chance you have a score on him?

OK. I can't wait. I'm guessing beams: 24, G's: 3, 13, 13, 3 and 2, circum: 6, 4, 4, 3 and spread 22 for a.....
172 NET...

Is that really a B&C all time trophy? Its looking like it... holy cow... did not think it was that big but the numbers are adding up (unless I made yet another stupid mistake)... let us know please...

Hey Catfish, you got a score yet? Anyone else want to venture a guess?

Flaggert,

you were not off too far.

Deer scored 142 net. 175# Field dressed and was only 4 years old. Any quess as to what he'd be if he would have made it to 7 years old. Biologist said he would have been at the 180 class if he would have made it to 7.

Biologist also said the only thing that kept him from scoring 165+ was his spread.

From my TFF post on your dad's buck:

~*~*~*

TP&W is wrong! ... O.K... I'm probaby wrong... I was guessing and gave him 13" g2's and g3's so that's a bit over the measurement, but consider:

20" beams (this number IS LOW)
3" brows
13" G2s
11.5" G3s
3" G4s
5-4-4-4 on circumferences...
and a 20" spread...

That's a 163 and that is low. There is NO way that deer scores in the 140s. BTW, I'm estimating net. The gross is higher.

Can you give us all the measurements so I can see where I went wrong cause I just don't see it right now... Please!

He's made it to the photo section!

That's a 140 class deer if I've ever seen one.

I feel like some people on this forum weren't born when the original thread was opened.
