I posted pics of this guy earlier this summer in velvet. I've had camera out since June'ish.

On this camera: He has the widest rack so far, at worst he is #2 in rack height and in mass at the base. In deer weight or size he appears to be right up there with the other grown ups. In other words, he may be the best overall deer on this camera to date ... and naturally, he just had to break a beam. Not crying or being whinny (ok, maybe a little), but come on man!

Have you ever seen the deer before? It's uncommon to break a main beam so he may always be like that.

I have had many a deer break beams or points while growing in velvet by starting my TC to early. The old flash camera were the worst when used around feeders or in feed pens.

Happens a lot! Here is a pic of a buck that had his G2 broken off in 2009 in the first two pics. The third is of him in 2010...I hope the buck in your pic survives and grows like mine did!

I know broken beams are common, have 1 on my wall! I mean main beams breaking.
