Let me start this off by saying I wanted to say something about a trainer that is not negative. It seems to me that credit is not due when good things happen, only internet complaining on a negative experience.

I am new to gun dogs and even new to training gun dogs. I have a 9 month old male lab that is our family dog and will be my dove/duck dog. I started training him myself and did not use a program which I have learned is not smart.

My dog would drop a bumper and had a less than desirable drive, it was close to dove season so I found a trainer and dropped him off there.

South Texas Gun dogs was my pick after talking to Wade over there and looking at his facility. He took the time to work with me/my dog and explain the issues. He also showed me a trained dog and how he did. I dropped him off on a Tuesday and it was hard on me to leave him since he was my buddy.

Long story short, Wade kept me updated daily on Legend progress and answered questions on almost a daily basis. Legend was force fetched and is a completely different dog. He is a working machine now and listens better than he ever has. He made a complete 180 and is now ready for his first season.

I will be taking legend back after the season and working on some titles for him, Wade completely exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier with the outcome.

If you need a great trainer in the Houston/katy/brookshire area call Wade.

No. It sounds like he fixed some holes in obedience and force fetched the dog, the 9 month old dog.

Evidently the post was not read or I did not type clearly.

My lab Legend is 9 months old, We did not start on any trials, my goal was to get him ready for dove/duck season. Now with what I have learned and the help of wade I am going to work on some titles after the season.

I looked on his website- it stated that he got a JR title on his 9 yr old. Maybe I misread the print.
