You know me.. I love to post pics wink

So.. pulled the cams and had a lot of pregnant does. I am TOLD that deer get stressed and the fur looks a little ruffled when they are really stressed, no idea. I would love for someone that really knows deer to look at the cam pics and tell me how the deer look, overall. (I could burn a DVD with all of them on it but too too many to upload).

Anyway, for your viewing pleasure....

And one ( I think it is an Axis) deer has a tag on it's ear. I see antlers, so I assume it is an Axis.

Looking good. I'm surprised at the amount of hogs in that country now. I haven't hunted around there in about 20 years. Back then there were no hogs. But there were no free ranging exotics either. Very cool setup John.

Thanks.. I got caught up in a meeting so had to hit submit post before I finished. Here are some more pics.

Oh, and about 36 miles south of Rocksprings, TX.

Not sure what this is.. it LOOKS like a tagged Axis

Not boring at all. You have some nice Axis bucks roaming around there.

Great to see the big hog and racoon caught in the trap!

Have you tried eating the Audad yet? I haven't ever tried any and am wondering how good it is.

I am going to try a young aoudad and will let you all know how it is, once I get the cabin done. Right now, I let the folks that help hunt and I focus on that. Might not get an Aoudad till next year. They tend to come out when it is cool in the spring and hide in the summer. We will see, but I will definitely let you know how it is wink

The coons tripped the trap, the hogs never did and then the coons got out.. lol

I did not set the trap this time and I think they set it too far back.

That area of Texas has really become quite the "zoo" indeed.

I'm jealous of the Axis.

Don't bother eating an Auodad. Buzzards don't even eat them.

Those pics are incredible. Your place looks good and green, then you got a bunch more rain too! Great news.

Wow lots of variety! I have eaten a lot of young aoudad rams and ewes. They are very good eating. They make excellent jerky and dried sausage. I have had tamales made out of them also.

Great looking property. Does look fine....not stressed. Just shedding the last little bit of their winter fur. Everything on Noah's ark seems to be thriving quite well!

I like the photo that caught the deer in mid leap over the fence.
