 How are Deer near Concan,Tx.

I just purchased land 5 miles south of Concan ,Tx. Mesa Verde Rd. off hwy 127. Can anyone tell me how are the deer out there. If its a good area to hunt. Thanks.

Should be good around that area. maybe a few exotics as well, maybe!

lots of WT, mostly small until you get closer to Uvalde. Should be covered up in Axis, especially closer to the Frio. Beautiful area with lot's to do in the off season too.

Welcome to the Forum. Can be a good area with lots of different game. All depends on the size and geography of your land, same for the land surrounding your property, and how much hunting pressure is taking place around your land.

I appreciate the responses. I set up a feeder and game cam. Hope I catch some good pics. The land is 20 acres flat at the bottom then step like to the top of a hill. I was hoping there would be exotics? Thanks again Awsome forum!! Oh ya I defiantly will be tubing the Frio.

I always promised myself one day I would have some land down there. In 2001 we bought a small place (12 acres). I don't get down there near enough, being that I'm 7 hrs away. It's always a good time though when I head south. Lot's of game in "Them thar hills".

I should mention that when you cross over into Uvalde county you come out of the Cedar country and enter the south Texas brush country. Concan is right on the edge. Possible big WT, but the Axis are PHENOMENAL!

I hope the Axis are there. It's pretty rocky going up the hill. Aoudads that would be awesome.I would like to get so water tanks or some kind of water hole going maybe I will attract more game?
