I cant remember if I have said this before, but I think this is about the perfect size hunting knife 8" total 3 1/2" blade made from 5/32 stock thickness 0-1 tool steel handle is ivory micarta with brass accents sheath is 8-9 oz leather dyed light brown.

Very nice. What is the purpose of the grooves on the back of the blade? They are just to give the thumb or finger something to grip while cutting, I like the ones on the tip for skinning and close work activities, you do not need them, they just give it a nice touch, the good thing about making knives I can add or subtract any of that stuff you know.
