Last night HWOH was at the North Texas SCI banquet...
Dear God,
Thank you for my wife, my children, my grandchildren, and all of my family. Thank you for all the people in my life, the friends I have made, the friend I have yet to make. You have truly provided a blessed path for me to follow. Thank you for the SEVEN WORDS that serve as my moral compass.
Thank you Lord for the reminders of the path you have set me on. The lessons you provide remind me of the meaning and true goal of the organization you have allowed me to form.
The Lesson:
Last Night HWOH was out on a huge stage. The North Texas SCI show is the biggest event that HWOH has been. At one point the current President of the Chapter recognized the Soldiers that we had brought to the event. The Soldiers deserved the recognition and they deserved it with no distract. That is Gods works. Gods work was placing both Jody and I outside of the hall when our guys received a standing ovation.
Gods lesson, we are taking Heroes Hunting and on adventures to recognize them. Our duty is to thank them for keeping us free, safe and to be there in our greatest time of need. The simple fact that all the great people of the North Texas SCI Chapter recognized our Heroes with out the distraction of HWOH servers to remind us of our God given duty...
Thank you God for the lesson, and the wisdom to acknowledge the lesson.
Lots and lots of people tell us how much they appreciate what we are doing. We thank them very much, but we ask that they instead thank a Hero. We are not Heroes, and will never be, we are servants of a simple moral compass.
God please set all the Angles and the Souls in Heaven down and whisper a love story to them. Please tell them a simple story of a Hero doing his job protecting the town he loves.
God, thank you for the time to reflect. As always thank you for letting me be...
