The gnome is everybody's friend. Unfortunately the rodent is not my friend and he succumbed to a .20 cal Benjamin right after these pics...RIP.







But the gnome made a new friend with this Carolina Wren. Last weekend I set a bird house on a plant stand on the back porch. I intended to hang it but forgot. When I went to hang it yesterday I discovered that the wren and his mate were making a nest in it. It's only a few feet from my back door. I got these pics from that perspective.

Great job on the pics. Love the little wrens. They build in the strangest places, old boxes, planters, etc.

Very nice pics. We have some Carolina Wrens nesting on our porch this year. They sure start singing early in the morning.
