Yes on Bowman Springs. They have been living in the rocks there. The green jay is native to Mexico and the very bottom of south Texas.

I have seen them as far north as the southern edge of the hill country northwest of San Antonio.

Caracaras are all over Hays Co. and I've seen in fair numbers west of here. They've been here my whole life. I remember seeing them as a kid.

I've noticed that often times they'll follow coyotes. It's not uncommon to see them flying providing aerial support to 'yotes on the hunt.

I have seen them in McCulloch County and have heard they have been sighted north of Texas but not sure if it was true.

Yep. They love the rip-rap around dams. I've seen them at lake proctor, lake Ray Hubbard and a creek outside Alvarado.
