I have been working with my 5 yr old for a bit with the .22 and its been tough with explaining iron sights to a 5 yr old so we changed to a .22 with a scope and now have graduated to the .300 blkout with a vortex red dot. She is getting it and I just want her to be comfortable shooting before we move forwad but she did good. I have a ND-3 zeroed to the scope for impacts at 50yrds with sub loads.... She had to try using 2 fingers to pull the trigger at first put finally got it with 1 finger. I think she shot about 10-15 rounds before we went hunting that evening!!
Rifle is a POF that was/is a .223 18" that I swapped uppers out and the blkout is a wilson combat barreled upper with my 30 cal can on it.

And yes for the ones out there that know me I know I am getting fatter by the day and i'm working on it!!!!!

All of this took place at Elk Meadow ranch near New Boston, Tx while I was on a hunt to fill the freezer with some Red Deer meat and hang out with the family! Check them out at http://www.elkmeadowgameranch.com/

Thanks

That's awesome I love to see kids getting involved with shooting and hunting especially little girls.

Start them early. Pass it on. Slow it down as much as you can, because they grow up fast. Thanks for sharing!
