I have an 18 foot pro drive boat and I'm looking to add a depth/fish finder to it. Does anyone have any suggestions or if you mounted one to your duck boat could you post some pics of it? Just looking to get some ideas.

You would do best to follow the inside the hull mounting instructions. You have to slow mix a 2 part epoxy and glue it to the floor. If you put it on the back of the transom the transponder will get messed up.

I don't know about aluminum vs glass, but I do know you need to make 100% sure that you get no air bubbles in the epoxy between transducer and hull. Had a buddy do a home install, had horrible issues with it not working right. Long story short, After a ton of money, warranty arguments, a Tech determined he had air bubbles in the epoxy. Worked great with a new transducer, and epoxy job!

Inside the hull, or like I did several years ago, I mounted the transducer to a piece of conduit that I would clamp off the back so that I didn't bust it off while running skinny or over sand bars and the like. I would just pull I tin the boat while running, then clamp it in place when I got where I was fishing.
