Mallards
Mexican Mallards (-)
Mottled (-)
Cinnamon Teal (-)
Blue Wing Teal
Green Wing Teal
Northern Shovelers (Spoonies)
Wigeon
Canvas Back (-)
Blue Bill (-)
Red Head
Ring Neck
Gadwall
Pintail
Whistling Duck (-)
Wood Duck (-)
Buffle Head (-)
Golden Eye (-)

The (-) indicates ducks that I did not see during the season that I could have hunted or shot at but have seen since. For BWT I only saw them during early Teal Season and none during either Split.

What duck have you seen since the season closed that you did not see during the season?

I think the Feds need to allow us each 5 ducks after the season has closed... The bluewings sure are plumed out right now.

Does a comorant count? Saw one this week feasting on my one-year old blue gill. I know they are protected but if looks could kill, he would have been a dead bird!

If you own the property you can get a cormorant permit. $12/yr. call tpwd and ask for Amy in permits. Kill log is a hassel but worth it. We've had some epic rant slams at our place. Not eatin my catfish!

I don't care if a hundred pintails with jeff foiled lanyards full of bands are working, let a cormorant fly by. Elbows are flyin. This call works great too.....aaaawkkk, mullet!

By the way they band a bunch of em. Plastic tarsus bands like brant.

Only one's I've seen that made me pine for them were bluewings and Spoonies that were very prime and a goldeneye drake. Always shoot a bunch of BWT and Spoonies but never when they are prettied up. I like brazos' idea a taxidermy season!

BTW, didn't know about the water turkey nuisance permits, that is really good to know.
