I having a little trouble getting my britt to pick up whole ducks. Enless I let out another dog he won't pick up very many ducks. And soon as my other dog comes out that will pick up any duck where ever he will pick up every one he gets to first. I'm wondering if this is because he does not like how cold they are from being in the freezer. I broke a wing off and he picks it up every time. Any thoughts?

He has not had formal training. I'm doing it myself. And he's a older dog but traing is coming along good just wondering about the frozen cold ducks.

Try smaller ducks to start with like teal. That is a nice lead in to larger ducks.
