Thanks bud.

I check out pronghorn guide service and some hunts were up words of $8,000 for some of the bigger goats and really big ones said call for pricing. I thought that was pretty far out price for a speed goat.

Not that far off for mid 80's goat. Mid 80's goat is like 180-190 typical white tail

I have a friend name can be discussed in PM and he has 40+ book animals and 90% of them were taken on DIY public land. All's he pays for are tags and the way there. He doesn't pull the trigger unless he knows it is going into the books. I will PM you some pics and they are all over 85 and all taken with a Muzzleloader. He is a super super nice guy and would no doubt get you hooked up on a big un'.

I would def. look into talking to this guy before I paid the prices I read above. We are talking $800 for a mid 80's goat not $8,000 He alway's takes one week in early sept. and alway's get's the monster in that one week.

Be careful of anyone telling you they can guarantee a mid 80's goat. Ask lots of questions, ask for trail cam pics and the ability to cancel up to 2 months prior to hunt. A mid 80's is tough to find anywhere.

We were able to take goats hitting 80ish several years back. With the drought, numbers are down as it quality......wish the lease prices were down as well.

These are not leases he hunt's all DIY land in the midwest where he put's in for tag's and hikes alot of miles. Check the I would tell you his name so you can check his record's but he hunt's a midwest state in early sept. every year and he has taken a monster goat every year since he started going in 2003 I believe. I will not say his name cause I know people will be knocking down his door to go but I will tell you this one of his goat's is top ten all time and there are video's of him taking these monsters on youtube as he films all his hunt's with the canon gl2
