As i watch the newest episodes of duck dynasty i wonder to my self if any of our fellow THF members are as good of hunters and callers as they are and if anyone here wishes they were half the duck hunters those guys were. They're living the dream

I'm sure there are plenty of guys on here as good as them. I wonder why they rarely even show them carrying ducks much less hunting them. Shows like Wild West guns and Yukon men show hunting on regular basis.

I may not be 1/2 as good as them but at least I don't have a yuppy wife mine will sit in the blind with me as long as I'm not leaving the house at 2am

I love those guys, they are livin the dream. I agree though, I miss watching them hunt. Guess I'll just have to buy the DVD.

When they did Duck Commander on the outdoor channel I always wished they would show a little bit more of their personal lives, now i'm wishing they would show more hunting ha!

It's a fun show but I cant say I envy them. I hunt when I want to, no one puts me on a schedule during the season. As far as the calling and general knowledge of DH, it will come with time. Envy is bad for the soul. On a more important note, I was able to add a dozen coots, 1 doz. GWT and 6 spoonies to my spread this week! Duck season is just around the corner and I plan to deplete the duck population 6 at a time.

The show claims to have 9 million viewers and themost viewed unscripted show there is right now.

I kind of get the feeling that the Duck Commander guys and how many duck hunters act now is kind of like a band that you liked first and then when they started getting popular and they were on the radio you stopped liking them.

The biggest part of being a successful duck hunter is being where the birds want to be. When you get the chance to be on the type of spots they have access to, it makes the hunt much easier.

I don't understand all the hate towards these guys..... Not necessarily that much on this thread but on others and in general among hunters. Who cares if you think they make bad calls or if you think they aren't good hunters or the show in fake. I don't know them and I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. The show is funny and better than most the crap in TV.

You guys that hand make duck calls... If you started selling them like crazy and had the opportunity to grow your business to where you weren't able to hand make the calls like you once did would turn it down?? I wouldn't...

As far as the question about any THF members being as good as them? I'm not one to over estimate my hunting skills... For all we know they are better hunters than anyone on here or maybe they are not. Who cares?

The only reason I see for anyone to bash them who doesn't know them is jealousy.
