I am interested in a Mexico whitetail hunt, I have never been and am very leary about crossing the border. I have heard that things are improving over there and if I could go with a group of guys I would be interested. Let me know whats available.

thanks

You might want to post this in the land/leases section and the outfitters section.

Why not go to Canada? A lot safer and I expect cost to be about the same overall.

You'll be the only white tail being hunted. I'd look North. A friend of mine's father hunted Mexico for YEARS and stopped about 5 years ago 'cause it just got too scary.

The title of the Thread is Mexico Whitetail Hunt and the OP is looking for a hunt in Mexico. He didn't ask about your opinions or other options.

He's leary about crossing the border, and rightfully so.

And you are an expert on hunting in Mexico because you "know a guy that knows a guy" that hunted in Mexico 5 years ago? Well why didn't you say so!!

Man, simmer down some. We're all friends here. I used to go to Mexico quite a bit. Dove hunted there a few times and used to live about 5 miles from the border and no, I would not go there to hunt under current situations.

There are still some of hunting mexico. It runs anywhere from $2500 to $6000.Some places are better than others just like in the states.License runs around $350.We havent had any isues but travel together and during the day just so we dont have problems.I am currently looking at changing leases and may need other hunters to fill a big lease.I am looking at a 18,000 acre place now.
