Every time I smoke a coyote do I have to haul his carcass back into the tree line with me so as to not spook any other coyotes I might call in?

When I hunt crows I leave their dead bodies in plain sight. Crows will come and land right next to the dead one just to look at him. I don't know if coyotes act the same but I doubt the body will scare them.

I killed this one and left him laying there. Next morning another coyote trotted right up to him and gave him a sniff. Dusted that one, too. So I'd say no to that one, as well.

don't bother them when trapping/snaring - have caught 106 coyotes in past 13 months, some snare locations have 6-7 coyotes laying around dead and still catching new ones 3 feet away at the crawl under/dig

I don't think it bothers them, I do remember a few oldtimers hanging them on fences and saying it was a warning to the rest of them but I don't think it really worked.

I used to hang 'em on fences back in the 70's. We just did it so they didn't mess up the cutter or end up going through the hay-baler.

I always thought people hung coyotes because they couldn't catch any catfish big enough to brag on. I remember places where each cedar or bois d'arc fence post would have a big catfish head around it.

Apparently they are hanging buzzards to scare off other buzzards.

LOL, I grew up on the Brazos. We had plenty of big cats to stick on fence-posts right alongside the coyotes! Good times. cheers
