Psalm 3:3 - But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.

I want to see the e-mail.

Not so much doubting the source, but the e-mail would provide the context needed. The described "bordering extortion"-like influence from an elected official unfortunately isn't surprising. Neither are the constant and last minute rule changes for the hearing. The big question now is exactly how much of this treatment and for how long prople are going to tolerate.

Guess we'll have to wait until the investigation is concluded.

I was planning on moving back to Colorado after I retire however I WILL NOT consider this any longer. I will stay in my adopted state of Texas where men are still men and common sense still prevails. Although the mountains are beautiful freedom has been trampled by elitest fools who are essentially destroyng what was once a truely fantastic place to live!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't put anything against them.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

Seems in Colorado the sheriff's salaries are set by the state legislature. That is why the legislature can pull off this extortion, if the sheriffs fail to enforce, they can cut off the paychecks. Chicken stuff, but apparently the salary issue has been ongoing of the sessions of the legislature.

They keep saying it's set by the state but I've yet to see where it's paid by the state. I assumed like in TX those salaries are paid for by the county they serve.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I agree. I doubt their voters who put them in office will cut off their pay. One of the CO sheriffs was on Piers Morgan the other night (I hate that guy). The sheriff said it is a matter that they "can't" enforce the magazine laws as written. Because they can't prove when a person bought the magazine. Was it before or after the ban? Nobody can prove nor dispute what the owner of a high capacity magazine says was the date of purchase...

I go to Bone Daddy's for the burgers....yeah, that's why.
