One quick question, what were the warning signs that Hitler or any other dictator was going to become a dictator? In essence when should the people rise up and say "when in the course of human events it becomes necessary..."?

I don't think we'll ever have to worry about that. There just isn't enough support for him. Historically, dictators had overwhelming support when they rose to power. There are just too many outspoken politicians for him to become much more radical.

However, his NSA, homeland security, and FEMA purchases do make me nervous. It also supports the dictator argument.

Just my thoughts

Hitler used nationalism and blame to rise to power. He was a member of a party that was outlawed in Germany, but during the interwar years of the 20s, the average German citizen was shamed into accepting the fate of their country after the allied powers claimed victory in the Great War. Hitler sought to counteract this defeatist culture that prevailed during the time, and through his military sought to expand Germany's influence to former ethnic German areas of Europe, predominantly in what is now Poland, Czech Republic and the Baltic States.

The warning signs that most dictators display are as follows:

Exertion of control of the media, whether in print or audio.

Enactment of laws that purify a nation of unwanted ethnics or social outcasts

Nationalization of private banking institutions

Confiscation of privately held land or property

Nationalization of education or health care

re-education of those with opposing political view points

banishment of religious orders or suppression of the practice of religion

Wholesale liquidation of political party members who oppose the individual or who are perceived as threats to stability

Remember, Hitler while a National Socialist, was not a Communist. He used the Reichstag fire (blaming a paranoid schizophrenic) as a way to convince the President of Germany that the communists were attempting to overthrow the government and to cede power to him under the title of Chancellor, and then did away with the position of President alotgether.

Korea is nothing like Germany, and no amount of Army Modernization propaganda will convince me otherwise. I miss my wife and kids something fierce

A comparison to Bolshevik Russia is more accurate than to National Socialist Germany. Pre war, Hitler greatly improved the country and brought many together with a spirit of national pride. I see exactly the opposite here, even Rush Limbaugh said he was ashamed to be an American.
Many of the same points you have made about the "Nazis" is also exactly true with Communists and Bolsheviks, and any "Cult of Personality"
Make no mistake, this is Bolshevism, and that leads to murder on a grand scale.
