What do you do to ensure shot meat stays fresh hunting hogs. Do you bring ice and a cooler along with you on the hunt?

Also, are more bugs and parsite on the hogs in warm weather vs colder weather?

We get em on ice as soon as feasable.... on occasion some process while others hunt... but an hour or two the meat won't spoil.
