A bee in flight is a tough photo. They're small and fast. Makes them difficult to capture. Out of about 60 pics I only got a few that were decent and in focus. Here's my favorite.

Awesome pics! I need to start taking more pics. I have a decent camera setup but it sits in the bag majority of the time. Only take pics of the boys playing sports or while on vacation.

Agree hard to take pictures of bees in flight . Shutter speed needs be high . Here's one I took other day

rofd, I found it easiest to just find a flower that seems to receive lots of bees and then focus on that one flower. Rather that jumping flower to flower to flower, trying to catch a bee.

I also found that a greater depth of field, high ISO, and fast shutter speed will make it lots easier.

Thank you for the info ill have to try this technique . Ive made a Facebook page to share my images I'm still adding pictures to . I just haven't shown it yet . If y'all would like to go check it out and like my page and share it with others to like its Mcgrawimages on Facebook . Theirs lots of good photographers here on the THF . I like all the tips we give one another I'm just learning by trial and error

That's exactly how I'm learning...trial and error. One of the biggest lessons so far is to buy good lenses. They literally make all the difference.
