I have a 2 year old brendle hound (Plott Hound I think) that is giving us problems. He has killed a couple of other animals that got into our yard. most recently a goat that belonged to my neighbors. I am convinced that he would be a great hunting dog for anyone with the time to train him. He hunts anything that gets in our yard... Cats, Birds, Skunks, Mice, Whatever. He is very trainable but I'm not at home enough to make a difference for him. I refuse to take him to the pound because he was doing what he was bred to do. He's a very loving dog that is great with my kids. He just gets out of hand when another animal gets too close. We have 2 other dogs and there is no problem with them. just the neighbor's animals. Please let me know if you would like to come to Sanger and meet Riley. I hate to see him go but I can't keep paying for my neighbors pets either. Someone please help us out. I will send pictures to anyone who is seriously interested.

Plotts are very good Hog, Coon, Cat, Bear Dogs. They tend to be
more agressive than some of the other breeds, but make good pets.
The only way I ever kept all of the hounds I used to have w/in a
pen and on chains..When I hunted them they were sore enough for a
few days or a week to keep them pretty calm..Unfortunately I live in a county w/a Sheep Farmer type mentality w/all of the exotic deer opr. ect..they ranchers don't like dogs unless a cat gets into their animals..then they don't want to pay you to catch
or kill it or for your losses if one of the other ranches shoot them...Plotts make very good Hog, Blood Dogs..I'd not put a dominant male loose w/other males..they will fight..DD
