Anybody got a line on turkey hunts in Hamilton tx, or in the general area. I want to get my niece a turkey hunt for opening day. Thanks in advance.

I personally would try knocking some door's up and down the Leon River. Ton's of bird's and you might be very surprised at how cheap you can lease the entire spring season from some of those ole' rancher's. just my 2cent's

What it is, is that we have a few turkeys on our lease. My niece made a bet with another hunter on our lease that involves the first turkey of the season. She will most likely not get to hunt the opening weekend because with our limited number of birds, and her not being a paid hunter, that privelage falls with those who are paid hunters. So me being the deviuos uncle that I am, i'm trying to find someone in the local area that will be willing to help us win this bet for her. The bet is, whoever shoots the first turkey gets waited on hand and foot by the loser for 24 hours. We will be willing to pay, and make some new friends in the area at the same time. So if you may know of anyone who may be interested in taking down a much more experienced hunter by an 18 year old innexperienced hunter I would like to contact that person. Please feel free to pm me with any tips or leads. Thanks in advance.
