My friends friend has a brittany. Her name is Sophie. She is about 5-6yrs old is what she told me. The owners need to find a home ASAP for this dog or they will put her down. I for one dont think it is right to put a dog down, because they want to find a home for it. My friend said this dog is a very very good friendly house dog. Stays inside, and is very loving. I believe the location is in Denton or around the Denton area. I am not sure if anything is wrong with her. I am getting more information throughout the day, but I think its wrong to put a dog down instead of finding a home. Hopefully someone takes her. PM me if interested. Lets find this brittany a home. Edit: Just got a text. Dog has to go today. I would take her, but I have 4 dogs at home. Someone please take this girl. Nothing is wrong with her at all.

I will put the word out! Please let them know about the Brittany rescue, there is a rescue in Texas that ought to be able to get her asap. No need to put her down!

If was closer I would take her till she found a new home, putting down a healthy dog is just wrong
There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

If someone can get her to mesquite, I will take her till we can find her a home. I can't believe people can be so freaking heartless. I would go get her but I blew the motor in my truck & haven't found a replacement yet. I will be in Mesquite till 4 oclock or so. Kevin

That's totally ridiculous. Has anyone tried to contact the rescue groups to make them aware? There was a guy looking for a free bird dog on here a while back I think.

I talked to the owner, they have someone coming tomorrow to possibly take the dog. The reason they are getting rid of her is, she fights with another older dog in the family & it has been an ongoing thing. I recommended she get a muzzle to keep on her when she is around the other dog till they find her a home. Sounds like the fights were getting pretty bad, as in, vet visits, stitches, etc.
And it's not a Brittany, it's a Springer Spaniel.

Something sounded a litle off. This is a big off.

She said it only seems to be when her husband is home, he is closer to the older dog & it seems this one gets jealous.

Yeah, don't put any effort into training or working on it, just put her down. The damn owners ought the be the ones that are put down.

She is going to a rescue I believe. Thanks everyone that wanted to foster her. Shows how much everyone cares. The owners are actually nice people. I think they were just overwhelmed. I also found out that she would be aggressive with the other dog but did not know until later. Again thanks everyone. She will be fine now.

The pup looked more like a springer to me. I read an article several years ago about rage in springers.

Yep, first thing I said when I saw the picture, Thats a Springer. I have heard the same about Rage in Springers. In fact the lady said the reason they got Springers was because they had a neighbor that had them, these people fell in love with the neighbors Springers & a short time later, got their first one, she said a couple of years later, she ran into the old neighbor & asked about the dogs, they had put them to sleep because of uncontrollable rage. I still think it's a training issue but I am no expert.
