So I have had a couple labs over the years and the one I have now and the one that recently passed I got for free... lost dog and such. Anyways these guys were great and now I'm looking to get a new one.... man prices are crazy! I know breeders put a lot into as my mother is a English Bulldog and Great Dane (champions) but whoa...
Anyways new to the forum, thanks for having me. Here is my boys.

Yeah I'm not opposed to paying $500ish for a good blood line dog. But it is hard to justify it when my two guys were great.

It's hard to say what to do. Our last dog was bought started at a year old. Great dog and I got a really good deal for her given the amount of training she had. They can get pretty pricey but sometimes a bargain turns into a great dog.

Finding one that fits your needs and your families life style is often the largest challenge. Regarding price, it's relative.

First let me say that if you can purchase one from good lines than do so. There are some top breeders on here doing some amazing things with their lines. That being said, I have two choc lab(prob mix) puppies that I have rescued, who are in need of a home. One male one female. I am not posting them on here because I do not want to get cross ways with any breeders who like I said are doing great work perfecting their breeds, and I dont want to take away a potential purchase, but if you are interested you can PM me.

I've looked at your website. Very nice dogs. I'd prefer yellow since I have had several black already.
Yes I understand these guys are raising great lines of dogs and how much time and energy go into it. But a pup for a grand isn't in my budget lol

That's very considerate of you, but most of us breeders care about dogs in general. So, if you were compassionate enough to take in two dogs that need a home and then go thru the trouble of re-homing them, who can find fault with that? Also, budgets, needs and people vary just as much as the dogs do - it's always nice to let people know they have options. Thanks for what you're doing.

OP - we have pups due next week and then mid-April. Missy x Bear litter will produce great pups (black, yellow, red.) However, we are NOT known for being low priced, though with this being a first time cross, those pups are priced about 20-25% lower than usual.

Well said. We will be putting down our lab this afternoon. She lived a long productive life but the time has now come. She was a great dog and has been good to us, but she can no longer live the life she deserves. I would take another like her in a heartbeat, but good dogs only come along so often.
