I have had much trouble with sheep. I ended up using cattle panels & T-post with a min of 6 - 16 footers. Make sure you don't throw corn outside the panel ring.

Heck yea, they'll jump. Learned that one on a lease in Gillespie/Kimble County. Had to make a feed pen such as Highlonesome mentioned, at least 5' tall and large enough that NO corn was thrown out of the pen.
Goats are even worst than sheep!

5 ft ?????? WOW, i was trying to keep the fence lower around 3 ft so deer can easily jump it, they get kinda squirley jumping 5ft fences, especially bucks. Does it really need to be that high? Another question, why no corn to be thrown outside the pen? I have a 12 volt Texas Hunter Products motor, it flings it way out there like 10-15 yards out there, i dont wanna make a fence that big

because the animals you don't want in the pen will get a taste for whats inside and jump in or try to possibly ruining your set.

5 FT..LOL. We have 400-500 nannie goats on our place and 3ft has been plenty tall for mny years. Like stated above, Make the pen much larger that normanl to keep corn inside.

Thank god, I really dont want a five foot fence, I have had taller square wire up before at other deer leases and the deer dont want nothin to do with it, I mean they can easily jump it but they dont like to and would just leave, usually one or two would jump in then the others would leave or eat the corn i would hand throw. These aren't very athletic looking sheep, very fat, they dont look like they could clear much fence, so you think Ill be alright with 36" hog panel ????

That's the depressing part... that feeder motor throws so hard I would need like a 20 yard diameter to acheive that... $$$$$$$

You can always add a deflector to make the corn not go so far. Very easy to do on all feeders.
Shhhhhhhh better to be quiet than remove all doubt..

39" should be tall enough.... just make sure it's tight!
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

take a page from the history books and our cattle raising ancestors. cut a nice, long straight mesquite limb about wrist-thick, and set it up in the rafters in the garage or barn 'till fall. at that time the limb will have seasoned nicely, and you can take your pocket knife, and remove the bark and smooth it to afford a comfortable grip. now come season time, you'll have an effective tool to deal with the stinking woolies as they did in days of yore. or if in the farther western regions of texas, they can be herded on horseback to a convenient bluff.
good luck

My son watched a pregnant ewe climb a 48" fence on my last lease. Also had a group of 20 start pushing on a fence until they got it to a point where several could stand on it while the rest went over.
