I'm down at Lackland AFB for the next 6 weeks and would really like to shoot a Feral Hog. Bow/Pistol hunt. Are there any public land areas that I could hunt within a hour or two from San Antonio?
The regs are in a different format than I am used to but I think I read that Refugio county has an area for public hunting.
Any info you guys could lend would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I ended up looking on Craigslist and there are tons of places that advertise super affordable hunts.

Thanks for the info. I ended up looking on Craigslist and there are tons of places that advertise super affordable hunts. Good luck on that!

www.huntingtexaswithtrapp.com there is a great place in Salado Texas, Shiny Top Ranch check out their site, they also have lodging and they are reasonable prices
Take a child hunting and you feed him for a day. Teach a child to hunt and you feed him for a lifetime!
