This weekend went with 4 friends to Box R Ranch in Cross Plains, had a great time and was very successful. In the first three hours I got two 100 pounders, first head shot behind the ear at 50 yards, second up along the top of the spine at 100 yards.  After skinning them, my friend Darren called me up to help load his beast, and it truly was a beast, shot in the face from close range. Topped the scale out, we calculated after cutting it was at least a 200 pounder. This the first hog he's ever shot. What a way to start an addiction!  We got 4 hogs on Saturday, chased packs all day, saw more hogs than I'd seen on any other trip. Cost $100 and a 3 hour drive but was well worth it. I'll be going back in the fall!
