what are some real nice offroad shocks for a 2010 Toyota tundra?? Ive had mine for 4 years and i think its about time to change it up.

I have always replaced my stock shocks with rancho's. they have a good assortment of models dependant on how much you want to spend. i think i usually go with the 5000 series.

Havent bought any in a while, but last couple sets I bought were monroe gas magnums. Great shocks for a 1/3 the price of rancho's.

I been looking at rancho "quicklift loaded" coilover shocks for my wifes '12 4runner 4x4. They claim to give it between 1.5" and 2.?" Of lift. Saw some good reviews on them, but they are about $400 for front two.

I put Doetsch shocks on my Land Cruiser. Pretty nice shocks and great prices.

Using a shock to add lift sounds like a pretty terrible idea unless they're complete coil overs.

Rancho is extremely overrated, they come from the same factories that make most other crappy brands you see at 4 wheel drive shops

wow, I didn't know that I bought rancho only for the cool factor. I just thought I was buying a quality product for my truck that hasn't let me down in over 15 years. guess I learn something new on this forum every day.

Yes it is a complete coilover shock. Other brands offer same scenario, such as bilstein, but you use your stock coilspring. Its really not much different than using coil spring spacers, it is a little more expensive but you get new shocks and springs. I have used rancho on a couple vehicles in the past and never had an issue. I think this discussion on brands isnt much different than chevy-ford-dodge discussion. Everyone is partial to one for a reason or another.

Bilstein 5100 on my Dodge 2500 Mega Cab 4x4.....They are good shocks IMO

I had Monroes from O'Reilly's in one Jeep, and it felt like riding in a buckboard wagon. I had Rancos in another Jeep, and it actually has a sufficiently decent ride that my wife doesn't complain...much.

I always use KYBs on my sport trucks. Very good shock also

bilstein 5100's are good for cheaper ones. i've got sway a way coilovers on the front of mine, but they're around 1000$ for a pair. they're adjustable nitrogen. can raise the front end up to 3 inches with it. i got them when i put my lift on my titan and it rides like a cadillac offroad.

on the back i put the bilstein 5125's. real nice, and look good too in stainless.
