Hello hunters. I want to make the plywood top of my blind dry. It measures 49 inches by 49 inches and is flat.

Anybody know where I could get some tin that is at least 55 inches square in the Dallas area?

I use regular corrugated roofing for my blind tops. I would just by 3 sheets of 6' and use it. You can over-lap the width to get you around 6" over-hang on each side. I would paint the plywood topside first though.

Or find some cover sheets at a metal yard.

We did what stxranchman suggested. Plywood top with corrugated tin for protection.

That's what I do. Overhangs and silicone at any possible leak points.

I use NP1 sealant on all seams since I make my roof flat with no slope. Just need to wear gloves since it is nasty stuff to work with but it will outlast the blind.

One of the guys on our lease uses a shower liner or pan liner... not real sure what they call it but you can buy it a Lowes or Home Depot. Also not sure how wide it is but it comes in a roll so it can be as long as you want. Material is kinda like rubber. Works really good for the last 6 years anyway.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was wanting the tin to make a cheap cap for the top. I'll look at the shower pan liner but I'm thinging I'll go with the corrugated roofing and maybe put a slight slope on the roof. In that the top of the blind is 11 feet off the ground I want something that is light and easy to work with.

I just bought a piece of 24 ga. sheet metal for mine. I got it at commercial metals in dallas. It was $17 dollars after tax. The dims are 49x96. Their at the corner of singleton and norwich.

Naugahyde would work on the top of the plywood, I've used just Naugahyde on a wood frame of years. It will last a surprisingly long time. I have tops that are ten years old and still in great shape. The thing I like about the frame and naugahyde tops is that they are light weight, easy to get up in the air if you are building a stand off the ground.

I use cold seal will last along time not much different in cost
