Bang stick for your bow. Doubt it would be legal or ethical for deer, but an option on pigs for sure.
To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.www.NewHopeEquine.com - Health and Healing through Horses.

What will they think of next? To me it defeats the purpose of bow hunting.

I wonder what grain the head is loaded? That and if it messes up your shaft? Reguardless I don't think I like it either.

I was told they are not legal in Texas, something about a powered projectile?
Not sure, but for hogs, I think they'd be fun as heck!

If it's unethical for deer it's unethical for pigs too. Ethics are not defined by the species you're hunting IMHO.

My hunting buddy called me last night and he's going to get some; but then again he's a little on the nutty side.

What will they think of next? To me it defeats the purpose of bow hunting. not that i agree with it, but how does it defeat the purpose of bowhunting? i assume you are still limited to the effective range of your bow and it still requires skill/stealth to be able draw the bow without being detected. only thing it changes is the wound that the animal dies from. i dont think we bowhunt just to watch a couple razor blades slice into an animal.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

Works on the same principle as a "bang stick" divers have used for YEARS for repelling sharks. It's a no-no for game animals in Texas. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/regulations/fish_hunt/hunt/means/"While hunting game animals and game birds, a projectile may not be poisoned, drugged, or explosive."
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

You can hit a baseball with a rifle doesn't make it a baseball bat either! Yes it's still bow hunting, just going to open a whole new can of worms to the gun control nuts!

I can see some numb nut shooting his bow in the backyard with one of these and misses the target and hit the fence then the bullet hitting his neighbors house
