Looking for a 2013 lease in Navarro,Freestone, Anderson or Henderson counties. Older, experienced, Management minded husband/wife. No camping, looking for place easy driving distance from Corsicana. If any body knows of a spot opening on a larger lease with like minded management hunters or knows of a smaller lease for 2 with 50-200 acres that will be available, I would truley appreciate hearing about it!

I'd forego Navarro UNLESS you've walked the place and have found lots of sign. The other counties have higher populations. Whatever you choose, you need to get out and walk each place looking for tracks, rubs, trails etc. This is the best time of year for scouting, lack of foliage makes it easier to see sign. Plus the weather is perfect for hiking.

Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it.
Don't text and drive.

Actually, you might be surprised at the quality of deer in Navarro county. Lived here most my life and seen a lot of good deer, it's just a hard to find a lease in this area. I travel a lot for my company and just to find a place closer to home. (Corsicana) instead of having to travel on weekends to S. Texas or Hill Country.
