How much of an impact should we see? Our place is getting two mills this summer, fortunately both at the back of the place. Neighbors are also getting them east and west of us. Anyone here with experience?

they were put on my lease couple years ago. I didnt take it the next season.Deer may get use to them but wouldnt. All the noice come down the shaft. Pretty dang noisy if ya ask me.

You should be fine. Our lease last season had five of them on it. The only thing was you could not use a gun within so much distance of them. We had to sign a windmill company liabilty form saying that we would not have firearms near them. You might want to check and see if that is the same in your case. For the five windmills it was a pretty good chunk of land that we could not rifle hunt. Our lease was 3600 acres and there was 800 acres that we could not use our firearms in. So we had a dedicated archery only area. I had a archery setup about 300 yards from two of them and had deer reugularly at my feeders. I do not know though how long it took for the deer to get used to them right after they were put in.

agree with Nightbaird. I have 12 on my place. no problem I don't like the shadows the blades put out. Keep thinking something is moving.

We have 8 on our lease. They do not seem to bother anything. Deer get use to them just like they do an old pump jack or something. I once set in a box stand that was all metal. I thought what a rediculous thing. Just moving a foot made noise. But the stand made alot of noise just from the wind and stuff. Saw a nice buck and accidently kicked the wall (loud bang). The deer paid no attention to it at all. Point is, deer get used to things and then they don't seem to be bothered.
