Just thought i'd share a pic of my latest purchase. Marlin or Remlin 336w in 30-30. Other gun is my Xbolt SS in 7mm Rem mag.

The 336 is my new short range hog extinguisher. Expect i'll add a skinner peep to it a some point. It won't be scoped.

Despite the rumors, i think this 336 feels really well made, especially for a sub $400 rifle. Hopefully it shoots ok, we'll see at the lease this weekend!

Thanks

Okay this may be a dumb statement on my part.
You said;(Other gun is my Xbolt SS in 7mm Rem mag.)

The strap has the Browning logo, so I would have to assume it is made by Browning?

Nice guns either way!!!

Thanks guys.

The stock I believe is made of Birch, looks and feels nice enough to me. As i said, for a sub $400 gun i can;t complain.

Stub - The xbolt is indeed a Browning.

Great looking rifles. Like them both, but have an affinity for the Browning.

Anyone ever wonder whether posting information about your personally owned firearms is a good idea? As for me personally, I don't mind, but in these days, this voluntarily given information could be used by a nefarious person or organization as a way to target those who may have a weapon on the "to be banned" list.

I think he is safe showing pictures of two guns that hold less than 4 rounds each.

Not being from Texas or the US I don't suffer from that same level of massive paranoia that many do here. Maybe i'm just naive.

That being said, if someone can figure out where I live based on a small picture of my dog and a picture of two rifles in a neutral background then they probably have bigger fish to fry.

This is an age-old question. It doesn't mean you're paranoid.

If you're really concerned, you probably should be on the Internet.

And... To the OP, nice start on your arsenal :-)

Not that I am paranoid, but I just know that there are plenty of folks who data mine on the internet, and not just for banning weapons or anything like that, but criminals also troll the internet looking for any nuggets of info that can lead them to their next score.

To the OP, nice weapons, I myself have an X-Bolt Hunter.
