I have recently started to collect some duck calls. I noticed that a there are a bunch of guys that have collections of JJ Lares calls and I was not familar with them. I read where a few people compare his hybrid call to the old style daisy cutter, which is by far my favorite call, so I decided to get one. I am very impressed. Its not a standard J frame duck call and is very well put together. It sounds awesome. It just might make the lanyard next year. They do not have any corks or anything that would wear out. Check them out. You can thank me later! JJ Lares website

It's old Louisiana style reed system, pretty awesome. I have a hybrid also and like it a lot.
O Rob has a nice set of Lares I think.

the t-1 was on my lanyard all year, I asked one of my regular clients if could try it to see how it sounds and he said keep it til I see you again. It was super generous, probably the most generous thing that someone has ever done for me, thanks again ralph!

I carried one on my lanyard for 5 seasons after buying on in California. They are the most popular call out that way. I sold it last year for almost as much as I paid for it.
I like spoonie, his humor is dryer than my duck lease.

I just listened to the sound clip on that T-1, that is either the best duck call or the best duck caller I've heard a sound clip from in a hunting style. I'm not a fan of the stage type calling, but this thing sounds GREAT for in the birds.

I am pretty hard to impress with a duck call. I am a pretty big rnt guy too. But I have to admit that Hybrid Lares call I just got will probably be on my lanyard next year.
I have been running an old style daisy cutter since '02. I have two of them. Those calls are selling on Ebay for over $300 so I am thinking about taking them off my lanyard and putting them up because they will likely be worth a lot of money one day and are become a sought after collectors piece. The problem I have been running into is I cant find a replacement that is as good as that call. This lares I got just might be the answer.
