Hi fellas!
Great pics! I am so excited this year for turkey. I moved down to Texas from Michigan, late in the fall of 2011. I wasnt able to hunt at all last year. However I did break out my turkey calls last spring and just messed around. I was able to call in several Toms and Jakes while having coffee on my porch. This year I will be in full camo and prepared to shoot them when I call the in.
Best of Luck to all! Gobble Gobble

Thank you all for the welcome!
@Kmon1 ~I had left my window open the previous night. I woke up to gobbling. It was still dark so I flew from the bed, turned on the coffee and ran to grab my camo hoodie and thru it on over my pj's...lol I grabbed my coffee and my call. I sat down on a chair and put my coffee on the table. I began to use my slate to purr...sure enough I had several respond! I was so excited. I continued to call and several came in. They were going crazy because they could not find this hen that was teasing them :-) One came within 10 yards of me... there were chairs with mesh on them on the other side of the table so they had no clue I was there.
Later on that morning I walked over to my parents to tell them about it and I find out that they were filming most of it. They could hear them gobbling away, then noticed me on my porch. It was so much fun...lol
Counting the days and hours until opening morning, March 16 for me!
@gaharris~ I am looking forward to hunting down here!!! However I sure do miss Michigan a lot. It is such a beautiful state! I swear I covered every inch hunting and fishing.

Great story to get the heart rate up!!! Here's a few more recent pictures from the trail cam... ...and one more of a young 8 point that I let walk this season. I had his attention for a good 10 minutes of grunt calls from my blind. He was wondering around within 20 yards the whole time before he lost interest and calmly walked off across the pasture. It sure makes me feel good he’s still around and was not taken by someone else...
