These three pictures are the same buck. He fought another buck about 35 yards away from me. It was awesome! I had never seen a fight in real life before and it was unbelievable how close it happened to me.

Some hogs.

The buck I ended up harvesting.

Amazing down there that the mesquites never lose their leaves. It still looks plush.

Now I know how those deer run through all that thornbrush down there. The first buck has got his funked up kicks on...Nike's I believe. Nice buck you killed too. He does look old.

Great job... Did you get to pop a few pigs too?

Thx for sharing!

The surprising thing about the buck I shot was his teeth aged him around 4.5 yrs old; his face looks really old though. I'm no expert when it comes to aging, but the guys with me have a lot more experience than I do so I trust their opinion.

He was considered a cull buck on my buddies lease so I was allowed to take him. His brow tines are tiny as you can see from the pic. Still made my day and got plenty of meat for the freezer.

I did get some pigs as well. I've been lucky enough to see hogs every time I've been down there for the past couple years. I use a crock pot recipe with Dr. Pepper for the base and it's delicious.
