Driving back from the coast today I passed an area that has some blackbuck and addax. It looked like one of the blackbuck does just dropped a fawn. So I pulled over and took some pics. Enjoy!!!

On the ground. Momma prodding up.

And trying to get up .....

I MADE IT MOMMY!!!!

I also have some video of the fawn trying to nurse and trying to play with dad - dad didn't like it. I'll get those links posted tomorrow.

This time of year we see a lot of our scimitar and blackbuck fawns. I find it fascinating to watch the newborns each year and it reminds me once again why I raise these animals. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Great pictures! One of my favorite things to watch is baby blackbuck jumping around!

Just on the ground ....

Trying to nurse but hasn't quite figured it out yet....

Trying to play with Dad .... Notice Moms reaction and how her sisters immediately surround the fawn on three sides ....

Awesome pics. We're headed to the ranch this weekend so I hope to see some new fawns as well.
