no. I have watched hogs eat by a feeder with the camera flash going off and it does not seem to bother them.

Yes and no. Those not used to it will startle and may run off, but they tend to get used to such stimulus rather quickly.

Like most things, it depends. Generally they don't seem bothered, but I have had instances of a large boar coming in at roughly a right angle to the camera when it went off. Got one picture of it, and no more for the rest of the night! I think if the flash is somewhat behind them, they tend not to notice. If it's in their face, it can be a different story.

I have two unwritten rules:
1.
2.

Didn't seem to bother these any. Old pic, but it's all I had handy.

It might spook them the first time they see it and you will never capture their reaction as the trigger speed it too fast. I do know that the same hogs and deer came to my flash camera every night so their stomachs were bigger than their brains if they did have a problem with it. My new cameras are IR because the price difference isnt much. I can tell you that the IR LEDS are visible when they go off on mine but it isnt startling (to humans). I have noticed no difference in behavior between the two types with my hogs and deer. The cool thing about flash is you will know when the hogs come in if you are hunting over it.
