Just got my bow in today. Diamond Outlaw. Now I'm itching to go shoot something with it. If all goes well I'll get to go to New Mexico for an Elk hunt but that's awhile away. Not interested in hogs. Any ideas would be appreciated.

axis does, rams, hogs, there's tons of day leases out there that are pretty reasonable.

Quatro B is a great archery only ranch. They have some great prices as well.

Lot of stray cats in my neighborhood. Your can shoot them with your bow before my dog gets them...

Why not on hogs? Inexpensive and everywhere. I love shooting them with my bow. Shot about 15 last year. Helps if you have target panic and gives you confidence in your equipment and abilities.

I hate hogs. I wish they'd all just drop dead. I'm not saying I don't like shooting them just if I'm gonna spend money on a hunt it's gotta get my heart going. Hogs don't do that for me.

I hear ya in the same boat, looking for a cheap bow hunt to break everything in before Canada, but want it to be memorable and hogs just don't get the juices flowing.

Interesting take on no hogs. Not sure on your bow hunting experience or just gun hunting experience, but I will tell you it had made me and many others better deer hunters. But to each their own. Good luck in your quest.

I will say I wish this was on tapa talk as I could pay pics from my phone.

Same way I feel about WT does. Not that I don't enjoy shooting them with my bow, it just doesn't get the adrenaline rush a nice buck or big ole pig gives me.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

Let me clarify my statement some, I do not have a lease, if I had one and it had hogs or WT does and I had a bow setup I have no doubt I would whack them. But right now I am in the boat of having to pay someone to hunt, which works for me and I just don't have any intrest in paying to hunt hogs when I really enjoy Axis meat so a doe and a tanned hide or maybe a ram for the wall are not much more expensive options. That is what I meant. I will have a lease in a year or two but not right now.

Now I get it. I believe I would be in the same boat if I had the same situation.

Heck I get an adrenaline rush when I just see a glimpse of a doe! I guess it is because I just started bow hunting but I hope my adrenaline never runs out! Thats the best part!

Bump for ya! I am in the same boat. I have always hunted but am new to bowhunting. I have been looking at Big Oak bowhunting and Diamond C for a hunt.

As a side note seing where you are from brings back some memories at Bob Wills. Also a good friend in College was from Turkey/Quitaque
