someone on here had some pics of them being used for deer, i think it was Navasot, seemed like he said the deer were using them...
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

That stuff is what ranchers use to help cattle digest and use bad forage during like the hot summer or winter. Pigs will eat about anything and can digest and use about anything. Deer are a bit different. I personally don't think it is the best use of your "feeding funds".
You shouldn't need anything right now with all the rain and growth in most places in Texas. I would rather build a cheap covered trough and throw better protein feed that was mixed for wildlife.
But, if it works and keeps them coming in, more power to the user!

We tried one for the cows and they wouldn't even touch it. Put corn on top to maybe attract them more, but nothing would eat it. Neighbor told me not to use it because nothing would touch it after I had already bought it. Took it back and they readily refunded me.

I'm confused about the rain and growth. We've been in a drought now for 4 years and its already looking bad for this year.

aeb, love the pix of the two dudes. Knew a family of cedar whackers many years ago that could have been their brothers.
