Dang i love my state. No, federal laws that are constitutional trump state laws. The constitution gives the federal government 18 powers and if the laws are not within those 18 powers, the states can pass laws in direct conflict with the federal laws. The supremacy clause is very clear. Article VI, Section 2, of the U.S. Constitution is known as the Supremacy Clause because it provides that the "Constitution, and the Laws of the United States … shall be the supreme Law of the Land." It means that the federal government, in exercising any of the powers enumerated in the Constitution, must prevail over any conflicting or inconsistent state exercise of power. Like the commerce clause, this one has been abused and there needs to be a 10th amendment act in order to correct the mistakes of the past.
This cannot be fixed at the voting booth.. Wake Up You Morons!

Dang i love my state. In addition to what Mike stated, I wonder if Colorado and Washington State ignoring federal drug laws will open the door in other areas of law?

As much as I'm against the legalized marijuana here. It was approved by the people. It does open a door to states reexerting their right to self government. The only way we will restore our 2nd amendment rights here in Colorado will be through an amendment that restricts any form of new control. The Democrats are in control of both houses, so the people will have to try and take control.
