So, what's the deal, you keep digging until you hit clay or something?

Im not sure if the tank makes the dozer look small or the dozer makes the tank look big.

Or I can't push any more up the dam. I have tried bentonite, not on theis one but others. Works to a certain extent. If the tank holds for a week it will hold for 2 weeks with the bentonite. I even put a 100' X 25' piece of plastic in the dam and then covered it. The water is not going through the dam it is going out the bottom or sides.

A neighbor of mine in Van Horn had the same idea to dig deeper. He dug so deep he went below the clay layer. He pumped water from his hi-power deep pumps for two days. It seeped out two days later. Hmmm.....

At that point the only thing you can do thats a sure thing is poly line the entire bottom....

Get a qoute to get it done and then weigh that against the $4 a gallon diesel your burning.

I put all this in the fun column. Probably spend less on diesel having fun than I would spend on golf. If they don't hold water I call them recharge dams.

no clay.

That is the bane of the hill country.
