I'm wanting to start using larger feeders. Thought about moving up to the 1000# or 1500# feeders. Suggestions/opinions on the good/best ones? Brands to stay away from? Advantages/disadvantages to using the larger feeders? I feed all year and use a soy bean/corn mix.

Go with the Texas wildlife supply old timer or new all season ground fill

All Seasons. It's a move you won't regret my friend. It sure is nice only filling feeders 2 or 3 times during the season.

Thanks for the suggestions. The All Season looks good. I will look more into them. I topped off both of my 55 gallon feeders in October, programmed them to feed twice a day for 1 second. Last weekend they were between 1/4 & 1/2 full. I topped them off and changed them to 2 second spins.

The new all seasons stand and fill are nice. Put out a 500# one a month ago. It was their free choice but I think they ace the spinner in 650 and 1k.

Can't go wrong with the quality. Also bought a used Triple C out of Burleson spinner in 1k. It is a quality unit too

Check out the Capsule Wildlife Feeder. Comes in 500 and 1000 pounds. 20 year unconditional warranty. No wasted corn. Hog and raccoon proof. No hog panels or fencing required. For the amount your feeding, you could fill up the 500 and never have to refill it again for six months or more. I've had the 500 pound for five years now and still haven't even had to change the battery.

Got 2 500# capsules. Love them but be ready for the 1K price point.

I have one of the 2000# free choice feeders from All Seasons and have been very happy with it. Extremely durable, even when dropped off the back of the truck when it catches the one branch you didn't see and gets knocked over. Good thing I have a tractor with a FEL.

I have the All Season 1500# (green) spin feeder which came with protein tubes,so I can which the spin motor out to the tubes. Pretty nice option. And I just bought an All Season stand & fill 600# (silver) spin feeder. Which is really neat.
However, at one stand I have (2) 55 gallon winch up feeders. I set one to feed in the mornings and the other one feeds in the afternoon.

I hate filling feeders during the season, that's the reason for the (2) winch ups inside one feed pen.

Just a suggestion, make sure you adjust the spinning plate high enough off the battery box or else corn will wedge itself and stop the spinner completely. Theres a set screw on the motor shaft that holds the plate on, loosen set screw and raise plate, to lower battery box, loosen the 4 wing nuts holding the box to the feeder bracket.
I showed up to hunt opening weekend to find my feeder full and not working. It probably got jammed a few days after i filled it and left. I "assumed" the factory sent it out ready to go.
