Trying to help out my new neighbors, they are wanting to meet up their parents who will be in DFW on business. Thanks all.

Bubba's BBQ and Steakhouse in Ennis is pretty good. My wife and I like the place. It's closer to Dallas than Houston, but it's all that comes to mind right now as a good place to eat - other than all the fast food joints.

Do NOT eat at Robles Mexican Restaurant in Centerville. Trust me on that. You can however eat at Woody's in Centerville. They are on both sides of the freeway, and on the west side I think it's called Woody's Deli. Their stuffed Baked Potato is pretty darn good.

And...in Madisonville, on the town square, there's a Mexican restaurant that's very good. Can't remember the name, but it's right on the square. It's a mile or two west of I45.

Second the nomination on Rancho Viejo. I Coached there three years and everytime we pass through I had BETTER time it so that we can stop in there and my wife can order the fried stuffed avocado if I know what is good for me.

A hidden gem is New Zion Missionary Baptist Church BBQ in Huntsville. An old BBQ joint in an old house on the church property.

I'm sure it's less than half way and maybe a little bit out of the way, but Fish Daddy's in College Station is always great.

There used to be a neat little cafe right off the courthouse square in Centerville. I can't remember the name, but there was only one restaurant there.
